The Calgary Highland Games is one of the premier Highland Games in Western Canada. Started in 1913, it is one of the oldest gatherings in North America and will be celebrating 100 years in 2013. With competitors from around the world, the Calgary Highland Games is a proud spectacle of Scotland’s history come to life.

We are doing things a little differently this year, we have placed our Festival Tent outside near the piping competitions. In this tent you will not only be able to quench your thirst with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks but you will also be able to satisfy your hunger at the Highland Grill, located inside the festival tent. All while being entertained by bands, dancers and much more…

2011 Calgary Highland Games Highlight…
Rick Mercer and his crew were on the field the day of the games as he tried a variety of events. The caber toss was quite entertaining, especially when he used a chain saw to chop several feet off of an already shortened caber — he did have a perfect throw after that.
